Hi, I am in the process of migrating from an old Exchange 2003 server to a new Exchange 2010. I am trying to test my 2010 configuration, and wanted to be sure that I make all the necessary changes in my Spam & Virus Firewall 300 to point it to the new Exchange server.
I have changed the settings:
  • Basic>>>IP Configuration>>> "Destination Mail Server"
  • Domains>>>Domain Manager>>>Manage Domain>>>Basic>>>IP Configuration>>>Destination Server
Is there anywhere else I should look? Do I need to reboot?

Hey michael,

These should be all the places needed to adjust the SMTP layer destination.

We recommend you using the "begin test" feature or sending a test email to it then to ensure all is working.

Matthew,
Thanks for the reply. I've tried testing the SMTP connection, but all I ever get is the pop-up window blank, and the cursor with the revolving ring whcih never ends. So I don't get an error message nor a successful test. I assume that we've got a connection issue, but why wouldn't the test timeout and give me some response?

Sounds to me like you've got a connectivity issue or something else not experienced before, please contact support to diagnose this
