Hi,

I have a web filter 410 that we have been using as a proxy for out entire company. Now we are going to be installing a couple of other web filter 310s at some of our other sites. Is there a way to copy all of our exceptions and other non specific settings to the other 310s that we will be deploying, or does it all need to be manually reentered.

I would have thought maybe a system settings restore might be the way to go but that would also restore the device specific settings like ip address.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Hello ken and thank you for contacting Barracuda Networks technical forums,

Please use the Backup and restore feature via Advanced -> troubleshooting to achieve your request

or you can cluster them (linked management) if you want them both to always have the same config. Works great for a global office implementation.

this is incorrect, because they are different models, so they cannot be clustered together

If i use the back up and restore. will i have to go and change the ip address that i have already setup. or is that not part of the restore?

as for the clustering. I dont think that the 310 has that ability. At least there is no tab for linked management like there is on my 410

Hi ken,

We do not backup and/or restore the initial IP information. That way you can restore your configuration and perform work on it and then move in to place when necessary.

And you are correct, there is no clustering on our products below model 4xx

You can cluster between models. We are doing it with 410/610's. Works like a charm. Implemented by support.

If we are discussing virtuals + appliance here, possibly.

Not supported otherwise.
