Web browsing is much slower when proxied through the filter. We have 80 users and a 100 mbps leased line so the 410 should be more than sufficient forour purposes. A speedtest.net gives a download speed of less than 1 mbps per second when traffic is passing through the filter compared to around 15 mbps when it is not. If I pass the traffic though our old ISA proxy filtering system the network speeds are as expected.

Hi john and thank you for contacting Barracuda Networks technical forums.

can you determine what the appliance port speed is on the switch connecting at? Is it 1000/100mb full duplex?

reviewing the case you had open previously showed the same speeds with or without the web filter in line to a few select sites, are you seeing differently than tested?

Actually I am glad to say it appears to have been resolved.  It looks like I had it plugged into a bad port, I switched it to a different port on the switch and so far today all looks good.
