I have a Barracuda Load Balancer ADC 640b, I want to load balancing an IIS web site that have enabled Windows Authentication (Anonymous not allowed).

I do a http service but on the server monitor I have not the option to insert the credential and return 401 error.

Any idea? Access control settings tu set up?

i can't help but am in a similiar boat. I'm trying to set up service monitor health checks for our SQL Reporting Services site (which doesn't use IIS). i can see from the SSRS HTTP logging files that the barracuda is coming through to it and trying to access the SSRS site, but fails with a 401. We're struggling to find a way around this - ideally getting the Barracuda to use particular credentials (would have to be a windows domain account) that i can explicitly grant within the SSRS security config.

we've got a 340.

have you had any joy since your post?

anyone out there able to help either of us?

I have see on the Sharepoint Service Guide and use the error code 401 and not the 200 to check the state of a server.
