Hi Tim,

The URL redirect rule appears to be correct. Can you please check whether the above rule is bound to the service in question or not and also please check if there is any ACL on the Firewall blocking port 80 traffic hitting the ADC VIP.

Hello,

I'm trying to have the ADC redirect requests from mysite.com to www.mysite.com using a Redirect Rule located at Traffic->Web Translations. However I can't seem to get the rule to work. Here are the parameters that I'm using:

URL ACL Name: www

Enable URL ACL: Yes

Host Match: mysite.com

URL Match: /*

Extended Match: *

Extended Match Sequence: 1

Action: Permanent Redirect

Redirect URL: https://www.mysite.com%s

Comments:

However when I go to http://mysite.comit doesn't redirect to https://www.mysite.com

The Service I am using is an Instant SSL service.

Thank you for your assistance!

-Tim.

The rule is indeed bound to the correct service. I am currently working with my network admin to make sure port 80 traffic is actually hitting the ADC. I'll report back with what I find.

Thanks!

-Tim.

Had to create an A Name record for our root domain name (mysite.com) on our DNS provider to point to the same ip as our www.mysite.com domain. Thought it wasn't working at first, but then tried again this morning and it works! Must've just take some time to propagate.

Thanks for your assistance!
