Is there a way yet to use LDAP with out opening port 389. Useing an Application to sync or useing the same one i use for my NG or WebFilter. I would prefer not to open LDAP to the whole world.

You don't have to open it to the whole world.  One approach would be to limit access to Barracuda ranges, this would then prevent other malicious users.  Alternatively, you can use LDIF import if you prefer but this does have the disadvantage of not allowing users to authentication via LDAP, if that's something you would like.  I can range a feature request on this however and add it to the backlog.
