New admin accounts for Domain Admins

I am trying to create a new set of admin users for my Barracuda. I have an active directory group with a set of users that are only used for administration of network devices. These users do not have mailboxes so I haven't been able to figure out how to add them as Admin users on the Barracuda. Is it necessary for the users to have an e-mail address?

If using single sign on, then yes they must have an email attribute and a UID we can pick up on
