We have a Spam Firewall that just started blocking excel (from 2010) files. This just started happening and it's only with specific excel files/recipients. The error message is: <barracuda> #554 rejected due to virus ##. These files have been virus scanned separately. It's a false positive. This just started happening today and there appears to be no way to get granular control over the anti virus piece, it's either on or off. I've tried whitelisting senders and recipients. We've tried renaming the files. This is an on premise device, not cloud based. This is a critical spreadsheet that has to get to our customer.

We are seeing the same thing. The Excel Files were generated from QuickBooks. Reason is Virus (BN.ZeroHour-3a734f10acfcbd9)

I talked to support and it is a bad signature in the Virus Definition 3.7.1.2384. It will be resolved in the next update that will go out soon. Actually is is available now (just checked).

There was a definition added to the service this morning that resulted in a false positive on some attachments.

This definition was removed from the service at 11:08am (PT) today (6/22/2016)

Once your definition files have updated your mail should be delivered normally

Thank you
