We have a Barracuda Web Filter model 310 with HTTPS filtering enabled. In the logs, however, the size reported for HTTPS activity is 0 for all sites.

How can I fix this?

we would need much more detail as to the issue, it may be best to contact support for a case and help to determine an issue.

things I am looking for personally are to verify the traffic is even getting to the unit, and if so then is it being ignored, then if it is being checked by services.

1. need to know if inline deployed or proxy only.

2. in the advanced tab> trouble shooting page there is a tcpdump field to see traffic passing, I would determine seeing a single port of traffic like 80 or 53 or such and then if command is good, then look for 443https

3. inline you should see 443 in web log, if not then check to be sure IP exemptions page is not listing 443 traffic to be ignored , or an ip listed to exempt the machine  or network testing from.

4. if proxy is browser set to not proxy 443https

5. have you set up WCCP?

6. if you proxy your browser(if inline) does it show up now? routing issue in network.

and other items could be a cause to look into for a technician

update firmware to latest GA version.

contact Support for further assistance as needed.
