When adding content filtering, our barracuda always sends a "554 rejecting banned content" message back to the sending mail server.

I would prefer that we don't send the message back to the sending server and simply drop the message. Is there anyway to achieve this? I've been searching the web and the manual.

You could go to the "advanced" SMTP responses and activate the override for "554 rejecting banned content", then remove the text in the override line.

A "554" error would still be seen by the remote server, but it would have no explanation.

Why do you not want to provide a response?
