Hi development team,

please consider enabling ATD on the Mail-Gateway Service. The mails are already scanned by the Anti-Malware engine on the MailGW Service, why is it not possible to apply ATD aswell?

Thank you in advance!

Best regards

The NG can already ATP scan SMTP traffic. To get this to work with the mail gateway feature though, I would expect you would need to run the mail gateway service on a loopback address and then use a Forwarding Rule to enable ATD scanning on the SMTP traffic.

Hello Steve,

I´ve tried to implement it this way. In order to redirect the incomming SMTP traffic to the loopback address an AppRedirect rule has to be used. In this type of rule the Antivir and ATD option aren´t available. I´ve discussed this topic with your colleagues of the Barracuda Support and they recommended to not implement any workaround. Therefore I would like to mantain my service request of enabling ATD directly on the MailGW.

Best Regards
