Hi there - whenever I try and install a version of Barracuda VPN software on this machine it keeps rolling back.  It still seems to think it has traces of an older version 3.3 on there.  The registry and program files are clear of anything related to Barracuda, VPN, cuda_sfilter, phion using a combination of revo uninstaller and searching the registry... but still won't install.

The Secure Personal Access Client still shows under Ethernet Properties but is disabled/unticked but if I try and uninstall I get an error "Could not uninstall the Secure Personal Access Client feature. Secure Personal Access Client is still required by the following feature(s) and cannot be uninstalled until those features are uninstalled: Barracuda Network Access Client 3.3 x64

When I try and install the client the Windows log shows the following:

g the inf 'C:\WINDOWS\system32\DRVSTORE\spac_1A60BAD0325D1AED1AA7576131EB94A0FCE6B96F\spac.inf'. Unable to install network component 'cuda_sfilter_4.0.2.39'

DIFXAPP: ERROR: encountered while installing driver package 'C:\Program Files\Barracuda\Network Access Client\spac\spac.inf'

Needless to say there is no C:\program Files\Barracuda folder

Anybody get any bright ideas or seen anything similar?

Similar issue - spent hours troubleshooting no network connectivity until I disabled this component and now it will not uninstall even though I re-installed the older client (3.6) and hotfixes and uninstalled again.

Got the same while/after trying to upgrade 4.1 to 5.1.1.

Since then I'm always getting a rollback after seeing "Failed to install the network driver INF C:\WINDOWS\system32\DRVSTORE\spac_64D8E6A117127F5B94B0E0EA22F745AD5B4C9559\spac.inf. Error code 0x643" in the log file.

Unfortunately even if I reinstall the 4.1 incl HF102 the client is not able to connect anymore. Moreover if I leave the "Secure Personal Access Client" protocol active on any network card, I'm not even able to connect to the LAN. This "Secure Personal Access Client" stays installed even if I uninstall the Barracuda client including the Barracuda Windowsdriver package(s) completely. If I try to uninstall the protocol manually from within any network interface's list of protocols, I'm getting an error that it cannot get uninstalled because it's needed by a feature named "Barracuda Network Access Client 4.1 x64" ... no difference if the client is currently installed or not ....

Have anyone of you had luck getting rid of this? Thanks in advance

I'm fighting the Secure Personal Access Client removal problem here also.  If anyone has a solution, I'd love to hear it.  Tech Support is still trying to figure it out.  This is a bit frustrating to say the least.
