I'm new to the service and was hoping for some guidance on this issue. Any help is appreciated.

We have a local newspaper that is routinely being flagged for a DMARC violation. The source is legitimate but the bounce is being directed from a secondary news-source, "news.mcclatchydc.com." Which is also looks legitimate.

The domain of the local newspaper has been added to the exemption list but it keeps getting flagged nonetheless. Does another exemption need to be added for the mcclatchydc.com domain?

Also, when dealing with subdomains, is it:

  • Necessary to include them within the exemption?
  • Best practice to include them within the exemption
