Since the new update to the barracuda 8.1.0.003, links in the Quarantine summary do not automatically authenticate (this is for security which I understand)
But this leaves quarantined emails that were addressed to groups in limbo. There is no good way for the recipients (the members of the group) to access their group quarantine emails. They now have to "log in" as the group email address, which is illogical as groups have no login.
Being that the barracuda is on-premise and is connected to our LDAP server (Active directory) the best solution to this, is:
When the barracuda is going to quarantine an email, it should lookup the AD object that contains the email address (it already does this to "Unify" Email addresses), and if the object is a group, it should "expand" the membership of that group, and place a copy of the email into the individual members' quarantine.
If the spam filter hadn't quarantined the email, then each group member would have their own copy of this email in their mailbox to do with as they please, this behavior should be preserved, with each recipient having their own quarantined copy to do with as they please.
