We have our barracuda setup as the default gateway with AD authentication, right now all Windows machines authenticate fine, they don't even prompt the user.  But all linux/osx machines are just automatically denied.

We dont have captive portal turned on, as we dont want to prompt users to login in.

The goal was to migrate away from squid, to a seemless firewall gateway barracuda.

But linux and osx doesnt provide AD authentication on the fly like windows machines.

Ideas or work arounds? Thanks.

Hi Brook,

Better late than never.

Assuming that you have a Windows Domain Controller, why dont you use Kerberos? Both Linux and Mac support it.
