We are using Barracuda ESG 300 model. CPL is configured & all emails are first arrived on barracuda cloud which then forward it to our Firewall Router (this firewall accepts emails from barracuda CPL range only) which route it to our local ESG 300 device.
Recent Audit on our email infrastructure raised an objection that we donot have redundancy for our ESG. We answered them that we have CPL + ESG, so in case if our ESG goes down, CPL will still protect and we can still receive emails.
So my query is What if ESG device goes down/faulty , CPL will protect us right?
CPL will send the emails to our Firewall Router & we will change the rule in Firewall Router to route emails directly to our email server.
Will this technically work?
