Archiver with expired Energize Updates asking to activate to function

Hi Everyone,

I have a message archiver that expired September of last year and when I logged into it today I couldn't search and got the following message.


Error: Activation has not been completed. Please activate your Barracuda Message Archiver to enable functionality. (Click here to activate)


Thought maybe they made a change to their activation system that required re-activating so went ahead and filled out the activation form and got an activation e-mail but still getting the same message and cannot search the archive.


I've had a lot of Barracuda products over the years and have never had one quite working due to expired Energize updates.

Has something recently changed and has anybody else had a problem like this?

Please see the below article regarding Message Archiver behavior with Expired Subscriptions.

Depending on which type of BMA, you have will depend on what is meant to happen when your subscriptions expired.
